Shahil Mehta, M.D.

Dr. Shahil Mehta is a dedicated radiation oncologist with a commitment to providing personalized and high-quality care. He treats a diverse range of cancers, including breast, prostate, lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal, non-melanoma skin cancer, and gynecological cancers. Dr. Mehta’s expertise spans several advanced radiation techniques, including 3D-conformal external beam radiation therapy, Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT),Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), adaptive radiotherapy, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS).

Dr. Mehta’s approach to patient care blends the latest technology with a compassionate understanding of each patient’s individual needs. He creates treatment plans that address both the medical and personal aspects of each patient’s journey. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University earning his bachelor’s degree in Evolutionary Biology. Continuing his education, he attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he additionally completed a Master’s in Public Health. Dr. Mehta then moved to Los Angeles where he completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Southern California. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident. His training at USC equipped him with a broad foundation in treating various cancers and employing advanced radiation techniques.

Dr. Mehta has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at several medical conferences, further contributing to the advancement of the field. His involvement with the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Radium Society reflects his commitment to staying current with advancements in the field. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Mehta enjoys playing tennis, traveling, exploring new cuisines, staying active, and hiking.
