Dr. Ankit Agarwal graduated with honors from Boston University and Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and was selected as Chief Resident in his 4th year of residency. Dr. Agarwal received training in advanced radiation techniques for a variety of benign and malignant conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Agarwal was elected to several national leadership positions in organizations such as the American Medical Association and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Agarwal has published extensively, with over 40 peer-reviewed publications in top oncology journals such as JAMA Oncology and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics.

 

Dr. Agarwal practiced in Charlotte, NC before returning to his native Bay Area, CA to deliver care to the community he grew up in. Dr. Agarwal has treated thousands of patients over the course of his career, including hundreds of patients with brachytherapy for prostate cancer, gynecological cancers, skin cancers, and head and neck cancers. He also has extensive experience with stereotactic radiosurgery, including Cyberknife technology, and adaptive radiation therapy with Ethos. He specializes in the treatment of prostate cancer, gynecological cancers, breast cancer, lung cancer, skin cancers, and head and neck cancers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, cooking, and hiking in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
